Bio

Jared Crawford, aka Choclatt is a percussion prodigy and music composer who began performing at the formative age of three. He first gained recognition as one of the world-renowned bucket drummers of the subway stations and streets of New York City. From there, Choclatt co-stared and created all of the on stage percussion segments in the 4 Tony Award winning musical, “Bring in Da Noise Bring in Da Funk”, and is also the creator of the critically acclaimed musical “Keep Bangin”. Choclatt branded his upbeat tempo trademark style with buckets, acoustic, and electrical drums. Cholcatt’s musical talents have been resourced by Savion Glover, Lauryn Hill, Usher, Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Beyonce and Gregory Hines to name a few.

Choclatt has also been featured in television commercials for Capital One Bank, CBS sports network, Cingular Wireless, Burger King and Panasonic. His TV show credit includes NBC’s 30 Rock Starring Alec Baldwin and Tracy Morgan, “Are We There Yet” starring Ice cube and Terry Crews and scorings for CBS’s Blue Blood starring Tom Selleck. His movie credits include “Conspiracy Theory” with Mel Gibson, “Sliver” with Sharon Stone, and “Listen to your Hart” with Cybill Shepherd.

Currently, Choclatt is in the works of a musical theater productions entitled “HIT IT”. He is also currently promoting his hit single “Forbidden Luv” available now on itunes.com/choclattjared and series of mix tapes entitled “Drumtantrums” which present his elaborate drum styles, aggressive fills and rhythmic vocal evolution that’s sure to captivate any audience.
